If Content Is King, User-Friendly Context Is Queen

A seamless, efficient, and enjoyable user experience is non-negotiable to getting customers to visit and return to your website, says Campaign. They want to be able to search, email, shop, download, and post messages on your site regardless of whether they are using a laptop, a desktop, or a smartphone. The minute a page doesn’t work or clunky processes lose them in confusion, they will not come back.

Content producers can help drive user engagement by paying attention to context. Determining the purpose of a page can no longer be confined to the IT staff. Content producers must be clear as to what they want the user to do on that particular page. Do they want him searching for products? Do they want him downloading lists? Do they want him gathering information about the company?
